Title: Aerial motor Problem solved
Post by: darkstar on August 23, 2016, 14:51
I was looking thru forums, to fix the motor on my 2002 MR2. I've removed aerial once and found that plastic bit is broken, so put back in same route as I removed   through the chrome nut. Now every time I switch radio or car on, my motor keep making heavy noise. So annoying in public places, when you are in car park.
Decided to disable the relay switch to motor, as my aerial is stuck half way now, so I thought that's good height, looks nice size on car  s:) :) s:)
If anybody want to do this, this is the easy route , instead of removing motor thru wheel arch and fixing. just took 10 minutes
Relay switch is under Driver side behind storage box. just unplugged the switch and my car is as smooth as cheese. No annoying whirring noise and original aerial reception.
