Title: Aerial Problem electrical
Post by: Reeflodge on December 10, 2016, 08:39
I am fitting an electric aerial I bought from a breaker who swears it went up and down all the way before he removed it.

I have fitted it to the car and its not working.
There no sound coming from the motor at all.
I have looked inside and the nylon cord is not broken.

I have put a multimeter on the cables and it reads as follows

Blue wire 12v with ignition on and off
Yellow wire 12v only when ignition is on

Aerial is grounded properly

Is this how the wires should read?
Is this aerial knackered?

Have you checked the black relay for the aerial under the drivers side rear bin? If all else fails put your other one on and wire it like I told you.
