My guy at KN wheels can refurb these bars, he did my stock rear strut brace a few weeks ago in Anthracite, which is the colour TRD use anyway.

I can call and ask about prices if you like?

BTW, I'll be posting a thread regarding KN soon, as we hope to offer a useful service  s:wink:  s:wink:

Out of interest guys - did you have your big black plastic cover on, and what about garaging. Are the cars left outside?

Mine is still pristine, Fortunate?

Thanks

roger

Roger are you talking about the same thing?

I didbn't realise you had a front Strut Brace, in addition teh plastic cover won't cover it, it has to be cut to allow fitment

Yes, and yes. I have cut my cover, so that is on. I was thinking that maybe they have gone rusty if there was no cover and water etc was coming up from the road.

aha,

no it tends to be where teh welds are on the top of teh bar that start to get a little surface rust.

yours and seans are teh only 2 I've not seen that this has happened on.

Having said that, probably only 3 - 4 months old max. Mark thanks for the tip anyway, and I'll keep my eyes open - might just  add a thin layer of grease or paint before it happens.

I've had mine about 2 years now, and it only has rust under few bolts where the paint has been broken off. The bar itself is just perfect, seems they have some quality variation then  s:? :? s:?

Mine was the same as Tems, just a little rust where the paint had come away under the bolts.
