Title: TTE turbo pics, by request
Post by: desmondo on December 11, 2016, 19:04
Tewje asked me for pics of my recently installed TTE turbo, as a reference  to help with his TTE-replica build (if thats the right phrase) since mine came out of the box in what was an unused (albeit 10 year old) TTET kit. I haven't created a Readers Ride topic yet (everything takes me ages to get round to!) and I cant seem to post images in PMs, so I'm putting them here. Other people might be interested anyway... I got a whole bunch of other pics ready to go when I get round to that readers ride!

Hope this helps Tewje. Most of the pics were taken with it on the engine during the build. Now i can barely see it in there, never mind photograph it...

Thank you very much!
I found the same turbo thanks to your photos.
For that moment a have IC (TTE one), turbo (same as yours) and fan (still on its way from UK) which is a copy of TTE one.

Now I'm trying to find exhaust manifold and downpipe. Do you have their dimensions? Have you measured them before fittment?
Same with intake and IC pipes

Is there any chance to copy the TTE ECU maps?

Maps wise. No.
i believe toyota have them nailed down and are not read/hack/copyable.
all on a dedicated tte piggy back ecu.

I've collected few parts for my TTE kit copy.

TTE intercooler

Fan replacement

Turbo - same as in the kit

I still looking for proper manifold, downpime and air intake pipes.
If you've got any suggestion about replacements for this parts - let me know!

I think that I'd use Ecumaster DET3 as a piggyback. Do you have any experiences with that ecu?

you have been busy.

The box to the fan looks non stock.
is there a temp sensor included as part of it?
