Title: MR2 ZZW30 Hot Start and Hot Idle Issues ?!
Post by: SCHNICK18 on February 1, 2017, 20:43
Hi Guys,

I've got an MR2 and when cold starts perfectly, revs a little high but then settles as gets warm.

However, when up to temperature, the idle can drop and stay around 600rpm, obviously too low and the car just feels unhappy.

And then when you turn it off, like popping to shop or refuelling, it can take a fair few turns to get started and doesnt jump into life like it does when cold!

There's no codes on the OBD so I'm not too sure on the issue.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks!

Iacv probably sticking.  Check for air leaks too.  700/ 800 rpm the norm when hot, 1500 ish when cold.
