ever since owning the 2 have been trying to eradicate rattles/clunks. have got rid of a few so far my just making sure items are properly secured and fixed. drove car home from paintshop (like an old Granny) haha. anyway got a kind of sound like a bonnet not fully closed down, quite loud so sound like heavy metal parts. i think it is, trying to replicate noise...
loose frunk cover
loose spare wheel cover
stuff in spare wheel holder
or the bonnet, im sure it is this. have quickly played with the bumpstops and still doing it. if i press right on the front its like its moving around in the catch? anyone else experienced this. i would like to fix this on sunday, maybe i just need to play with the stops more when weather is better? or adjust catch if this is possible?
any thoughts appreciated as trying to get a bit done on Sunday.
Thanks Jacob
My 2 developed a bit of a clunk going over bumps... Was the radiator, just needed tighten down.
Have you got a strut brace fitted? I had a similar sounding knocking noise and for ages thought it was a suspension problem maybe a top mount or loose spring but it turned out to be the top edge of the strut brace (ultra racing) catching on the underside of the bonnet!
thanks for both your replies, will check the rad didn't even look at that, unfortunately at the moment have not yet got a brace yet. have now clipped the frunk cover down sorted out my crap in the front wheel holder, adusted bonnet again. did notice that on the latch the bit you have to pull after pulling from in the cabin the spring has broken so i suppose it could be moving around a bit cant imagine it thudding tho. Its hard to pinpoint at the moment have many rattling noises from withing the cabin im trying to eradicate. (door cards, the long piece of trim that comes of to reveal screws) actually falls of its so loose! not sure how to fix that one yet as would prefer not to screw it down and make holes ect! My thudding could be poor suspension. im sure ill get there eventually. Thanks
