Title: Best company to use to ship a large item
Post by: enzoforever on February 11, 2017, 09:38
Hi gang, anyone know who I'm best using to ship a rear quarter panel from the sellers place of work in swindon to my home in Glossop, Derbyshire.  Also anyone know approximate weight please.  Many thanks.

Paisleyfreight are worth a look. Have used these for moving rims n tyres

You could also chance your arm on our own inbuilt member to member transfer.

+1 for Paisley Freight. Comprehensive online package and fixed price list for a range of items.

Rear quarter panel is a bit of a PITA. I'd say weight is no more than 10Kg ('ve got 2 in my shed), BUT.... you need it well packaged. If it gets thrown, stacked, anything dropped on it.... it's toast.

It's the kind of item that if you're serious about shipping it, you built it into a plywood box.

Thanks for the input guys.  Sounds like its Paisley freight then, can't see the seller building a plywood box somehow, but he did say he would bubble wrap and box it as carefully as possible. Thanks again guys.
