Title: Aluminium radiator question
Post by: gary1340 on February 16, 2017, 10:54
Hi folks,

I am looking to buy an aluminium radiator, possibly Mishimoto.
A majority of the radiators that I have looked at seem to fit 2000-2005 models.
My car is a 2006 TF300.
Does anyone know if there are any differences with the 2006 radiator???

Don't think there is any difference
If I remember correctly there are issues fitting these if you have AC tho

Oh, didn't know that. My car does have A/C.

I remember reading somewhere that it is thicker than stock and makes it tricky to install and retain the AC rad

have a look at my build thread page 5 i think, shows what your dealing with, i have installed a mishimoto ally rad although ripped out my ac but from looking at the pics the ac rad sits much further forward than the engine rad so it might squeeze in behind it

cheers tommy

I have a Mishimoto rad and have retained the A/C.
You need to trim about 0.5 inch off the slam panel. I used some tin snips. I then protected the protruding edge with a rubber trim.
