Okay - this is just an idea, but it makes sense to me...
I'm currently running standard PFL wheels with standard size tyres. If I got a pair of FL rears then I could put 225/40R16 tyres on them and fit them to the rear of my car, putting the current rear wheels on the front.
- Retains OEM look.
- Appropriate tyre sizes for the rims.
- Correct overall tyre diameters.
- Each tyre is now 20mm wider than before.
- Retains current +20mm front to rear stagger.
- Should add a bit of extra weight to the steering (which, IMO, feels a bit light as it is).
What's not to like?
205 x 15 will certainly add a bit of gravitas to the steering. might be too much. most seem to run 195`s on the front and 225`s on the rear. standard fl stagger is 30mm.
in any event if switching pfl rears to the front remember to remove the locating dowels from the inside face of the wheels.
I have got used to 205 on the front of mine now but i personally think its too much. Especialy if you only have stock power.
I have them on my FL front wheels no problem so no need for 16"
Would save my money for a decent wheel alignment from someone that know what they are doing.
Front will feel light there isnt much weight up there.
