Title: Motorised monitor
Post by: Anonymous on February 1, 2005, 00:18
Hi everyone,

Have been thinking for a while about getting either an Alpine or Pioneer motorised monitor (with perhaps built in CD player).  Does anyone have one installed?  Does the gear stick interfere with the opening/closing of the monitor?  Where have people placed the extra 'brain' box that some of them require?

Cheers

Don't know about the motorised panel, but i've got one of those extra Alpine brain boxes as you said on mine (ipod). If you lye on you're back in the drivers footwell and look up and to the right of the steering shaft, then you'll notice a nice large flat area where a box can be velcro'd on. Hope that helps

The alpine doesnt hit the gear stick when in neutral, however if you have it on auto open when powered up, you do have to wait for it to open before you can put the car in gear and head off.
