Title: Can someone explain this to me?
Post by: Fin on March 22, 2017, 18:59
During a bout of unalleviated boredom, I came across this:

 m http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-5-INTAKE-SUPE ... NX&vxp=mtr (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-5-INTAKE-SUPERCHARGER-TURBO-FUEL-GAS-SAVER-FAN-DUAL-BLUE-UNIVERSAL-NEW-/291694630072?fits=Model%3AMR2&hash=item43ea5ad4b8:g:pYoAAOSwPc9W0LNX&vxp=mtr) m

I've read the explanation 2 or 3 times, but it still doesn't make sense to me. Surely it would have to be powered and help push the air through to make any difference at all? Or am I missing something?

Haha. It's a total gimmick. It was mythbusted on mighty car mods. It's a massive blockage in the intake.

You can actually get them with 12v feeds that spin them... Utterly pointless

Pretty much what I thought. Thanks  s:D :D s:D
Seemed to me it would disrupt the airflow, if it does anything at all!

Complete hogwash
The electric ones do push a fair volume of air tho, so can be used more effectively elsewhere
I'm mounting 2 of them in my rear bumper as extractor fans when the turbo goes in

It's called a turbo
