Title: How bright?
Post by: Fin on March 29, 2017, 11:15
I'm looking to replace my foglights, my old set gave up the ghost a while ago. I have a PFL front bumper, and I am looking to fit them in the grill area, where I had them before.
My question is: how bright is 1200 lumens? Are we talking headlight bright, or closer to holding a candle in front of the car bright? Everyone seems to measure brightness differently, an I am easily confused   s:lol:  s:lol:
These are what I'm looking at, do they look any good?

Advice/opinions gratefully received as always   s:bowdown:  s:bowdown:

Says it can be used a motorcycle headlight, so I bet it's quite bright!

Hmmm. Can act as a fog light or a headlamp?

Surely headlamps have a focused distribution directing the light in a particular manner as headlights do.

Fog lights should have a very wide beam angle to help identify the sides of the road in thick fog.

Different things altogether - these lights don't seem to know what they want to be.
