Title: TRD Replacement Sports Air Filter
Post by: ninjinski on February 1, 2005, 22:32
Arrived today from Fensport and well initial thoughts are that yes the car is more responsive and actually feels 'lighter' to drive - seems to be breathing much more easily.

Reading other posts on this I have heard others state they were unsure if any effects were to be noticed but I think it has made a difference in driving feel if nothing else and a little more noise via the TTE exhaust.

I keep this updated as the weeks go by - and finally I'm surprised at just  how much crap was on the original filter after just 3,000 mls

I have recently installed one of these and feel that it has made a noticable difference too especially in unison with the H&S derestricted air intake and twin exhaust  s:wink:  s:wink:

I read previously that it would be advisable to clean every six months.

The TRD filter instructions say to use the cleaning kit at the 30,000 mile point. In my book, that means maybe every 15 to 20K - for most people that's going to be something like every 2 years or so.

I cleaned my K&N before I put it in last, think it had done about 20-25K by then.

Where's the cheapest place to get a TRD filter?  Fensport's website says add VAT to all prices which makes it ~£70?
