Title: Front Brake binding
Post by: sussex on April 10, 2017, 17:26
Our facelift roadster has developed a binding front brake drivers side, after a good run, i jacked up car and could hardly turn the wheel , was really hard to turn and looks like it has worn pads down, my wife drives the car so i was unaware of the problem until today, before i take a closer look, the car brakes in a straight line , so i am presuming sticking/seized slider pins ?, any advice appreciated.

Yes, mine stuck very slightly, same wheel.  After giving it a good clean, etc, it did it again and I ended up buying a new caliper.  Some may choose to have them refurbished but I suspect mine was the original so decided on a brand new one.

Check the rest at the same time I reckon. My rears were very messed up yet the car drove fine

I greased mine up with ceratex and it sorted them out.
