Title: catalysator spec/size 1zz vs 2zz
Post by: toyofan on April 26, 2017, 21:33
Hi

posted this in the engine swap section too, but maybe more people see it here?

Hi

Just had my swap inspected today, and they want proof regarding the emissions from the Celica engine.

So, can anyone help me?
Cant find any spec on the cats from Toyota (I'm a Toyota mechanic and have searched everything I can think of...)

Does anyone have a stock 2zz exhaust, and can take some measurements? length, bore (intake/out) and overall diameter. (length of the catalyst, not the whole exhaust...)

or if anyone have any tips/documents to help me out, I will be very happy for it!!!

Thanks!

His location is Norway - they have very different rules about modified cars such as 2ZZ swaps.

Think of the UK IVA test and add another 3-400 feet of red tape

They are strict, but finally mine has been approved!

As the question about cat size, I borrowed a stock Corolla T-sport and compared the size, and documented it with pictures for the DVLA, and it was enough to convince them!!!

As for the size, they are the same sice, the T-sport and the rear stock MR2 cat
