Title: o2 sensor. resistor fitted
Post by: mdw on May 9, 2017, 14:40
I have a P0141 code for the long lead sensor. Have followed the great advice on here and fitted a resistor, cleared he code and went for a run, no cel so great news.  However how hot should the resistor be after a 10 minute run. It didn't burn my finger but wouldn't want to touch it for more than a second.  The one I fitted was 50w 22R .
Many thanks
Malcolm

It should be hot, thats why you need one with a heatsink and mount it to a metal panel for extra heat dissipation.   s:-D :-D s:-D

Glad to hear you sorted this common issue with this handy fix.   s:-D :-D s:-D

22R is only dissipating around 6.5W at 12V so should be comfortably ok.
