Title: Exhaust wrap, what length?
Post by: andyb on May 16, 2017, 00:07
After reading all the threads about manifold pre-cats breaking up, checked mine. They were still fine after 72,000 miles  s:) :) s:)  , then I removed manifold and smashed them out, potential problem solved.
All the nuts holding the manifold came out surprisingly easy, unlike the lower heat shield bolts that sheared off but not to worry I'm going to wrap them instead.
Question? What length do I need to and is there any recommended wrap to use or are they near enough all the same.

10 metres.  It needs a 50% overlap.  It's surprising how much you need.
