Title: Gearbox Transaxle oil
Post by: edmundopt on May 23, 2017, 22:08
with the car tilted forward, I drained the oil using the 24mm drain, spent like 1 day there engine was hot when started..
with the car in level , I checked the engine level in the engine mounts, I started filling on the allen key .. once it got to 1.5litres, it was coming out...
I have the manual(Rm760U MX-6), and it says:
1.8liters  for w/ LSD
I have a manufactured in 02/2003 6SPD manual with LSD
what am I missing here ?

EDIT: its 32degress C ambient... oil expansion ?

Why car tilted forward when draining? Wonder if 0.2l is sitting in a ledge because of that.
But the important thing is, if the car was level front to back and side to side when filling, and it took 1.5,then 1.5 is what it needed.

As shnaz above.
Providing you're filling via the correct fill hole. Then, when starts to seep out, you're done.
car level - oil level with fill hole - done
