Title: Cat Cams vs Crower...
Post by: jvanzyl on May 26, 2017, 15:46
It's Friday afternoon - here's some trivial reading for you lot, there appears to be a company called "Cat Cams" who are making stage 1 cams for our cars!

 m https://www.fensport.co.uk/parts/toyota ... stock-ecu/ (https://www.fensport.co.uk/parts/toyota/mr2/mk3-1-8-roadster/engine-parts/1zz-fe-na-stage-1-stock-ecu/) m

They are different to the specs posted on MWR for the Crower..
 m https://monkeywrenchracing.com/product/ ... e-stage-1/ (https://monkeywrenchracing.com/product/crower-cam-set-toyota-1zz-fe-stage-1/) m

anyone care to say or comment what the difference would be??

The cat cams option seems to be slightly shorter duration than the Crower but quite a lot higher lift. That might make it better for low to middle rev torque, but there's probably not a lot in it.

Either should give a nice boost to a standard car.

Well spotted though, I hadn't seen that one.

Interesting!

Yeah I'd not heard of that company before and I was doing my usual "search all sites for anything new".. and they turned up. Think it works out cheaper then getting crowers from the US..
