Title: Tracking
Post by: PhilzMR2 on June 21, 2017, 18:05
Just wondering if any of you adjust your own tracking? I want my front wheels done and given the mess the local garage made of my wheel balancing, I'm pondering doing it myself.

I've seen laser based gear for £80 and I'm wondering how difficult it is to do?

Any thoughts? Thanks!

We do our own.  We have old fashioned, but good quality tracking kit.  Yes you can do it, but it really isn't a job for a beginner.

Find somebody else.  They'll do it for a lot less than the £80 you're thinking of spending.

If you are ever in gloucester you could try Chris Mullins Tyres for an alignment.

I took in my own figures and asked them to set it to those and they had no problem with that. They managed to adjust my rear camber on the standard bolts a bit too. Charged about £65 for that. They are also competitive for tyres too.
