Title: Front brake pads
Post by: gary1340 on June 21, 2017, 23:22
Hi folks,
I've been having a knocking sound from my front nearside brake which stops as soon as you touch the brakes.
I decided to buy new pads and discs (thinking that maybe the retaining spring is damaged).
I bought Yellow stuff pads. The inner of both pads has the metal spring clip on it. Looking at the pads the spring clips 'mirror' each other. The old pads I removed today have the clip on the same side for each pad. I am wondering if the previous owner has bought two pairs of either the right or left hand set???
Also I bought a set of retaining clips from EBay which don't fit!
Does anyone know if the genuine clips are side specific?
Cheers,
Gary

I've bought clips fro front and rear from these guys and they've been fine.
