Title: Electric window problem
Post by: SDB278 on June 23, 2017, 19:01
So....my passenger window has stopped working. At least the window is up.

I have checked the disable switch by the ignition, and it's not that.

I can hear a relay click when I operate the switch, so I assume that the switch by the handbrake is ok, and at the relay is doing something. No motor sounds.

So I am thinking the power side (motor) of the relay or the motor itself.

All other elecs seem ok. Is there a fuse for the power side/ motor.....or is the next step stripping the door to get to the motor?

Any ideas gratefully received!

Cheers
Stuart

Have you tried giving the glass a little gentle 'encouragement' while someone pushes the switch? There is a load sensor that stops the window if it encounters resistance (such as someone's head!!) and it may be tripping before the glass unsticks itself from the seals.
