'kin hardcore man, respect!! Can they tolerate any running on road at all or can they only be used in total snow / ice conditions? I've often wondered if driving from Blighty to some cold snowy place if they could be fitted before leaving.

Saw these out in Norway - well, similar (more 'road' looking tyres with studs in)..

Yep, they do use them on normal roads, though the studs seem to disappear pretty quickly..

Damn noisy too!

Yeah, those are bloody noisy and the grip on dry road is next to nothing. Pretty much useless outside the snowy/icy time of the year...

i was asking how they react on the snow in another post, i've just never seen any before, nasty looking buggers. Do you use these all thru the winter then Tem or is it not cold enough to use them all the time?
