Title: Rear bumper getting warm
Post by: Justin.D on July 14, 2017, 18:24
As titled really. After a decent run out my rear bumper feels warm to the touch (not hot)

I know I have a slight air lock in the cooling system which is work in progress (takes a while to get all the air out, more than one purge necessary according to Carolyn). I'm also aware the exhaust runs directly behind the rear bumper, and that generates a lot of heat

I'm running the standard exhaust, standard manifold, all heat shields and nappies in place. Precats still in (Checked last week and they are perfect). Anyone else running completely standard as mine get warm too?

Thanks in advance

Mine gets warm too - the bumper that is!  I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I had a lovely, semi-spirited drive back from the seaside last night and could've boiled a kettle on the boot lid when I parked it up. The bumper always gets hot too with the heat transfer, it helps if you do the last mile or so in reverse though to get some air through...
