Title: Rattling airbag wire
Post by: Anonymous on February 11, 2005, 08:51
I like many others seem to be suffering with a rattle from the airbag wire, which I understand is solved by simply taping it down.

Having searched many threads I'm yet to find any guidance or help with access to the wire or its location; though I must admin I've not looked at the car yet!   s:oops:  s:oops:

Has anyone successful got to the wire/stopped the rattle, and how easy is it?

Andy

Take the glove compartment off (open it and pull out) and you'll see the bag with wires.

My glovebox rattled as well. The solution was some self-adhesive felt on the hinge joint.

This piccy is from memory and so probably looks nothing like that!  s:D :D s:D   I also felted inside the glovebox.
