Title: Has anyone used WarrantyDirect.co.uk - opinions good or bad?
Post by: Anonymous on February 14, 2005, 13:31
My extended warranty is up in November, and I am keen to get away from using the Toyota dealer (as they are expensive and service is bad), so wondered about getting a warranty with this company.

For £20 a month, I can get gold cover and use a main dealer if I like, or pay a bit less and use any vat registered garage.

Has anyone used this company and has any opinions good/bad.

They claim to cover listed parts regardless of wear and tear, and also cover parts damaged by failure of another non-covered part (can I hear you say pre-cats), which seems useful.

I am mainly worried about engine or gearbox failure, or power steering pump, ie stuff that is going to cost close to or over a grand.

I am not so worried about odds and ends of problems that cost a hundred quid here and there, as I could afford to cover these anyway.

Has anyone tried this company, and had good/bad service ??

On the subject of extended warranty.

I've bought mine from Toyota.  I've never had a bad customer service problem or a service.

for 50 quid for 10 months and an extended warranty for two more years. Is a good deal.  considering the problems I've had with the engine.

Though the garage engineer did ask me how do I drive my car.... I replied "how's it's suppose to be driven" lol

PLS NOTE

For a cheaper extended warranty you do need to go by to your garage where you bought the car.... NOT the telephone line they've posted to you. The reason been is that the garage does a special offer for the customers.
