Title: PCV Hose - the other end
Post by: paulj on August 29, 2017, 20:10
Just changed my PCV valve, initially the blue smoke was worse until further investigation revealed a split in the hose.  That is currently professionally fixed (!) with a couple turns of insulating tape.

Anyway, planning on replacing the hose so the question is - where does the other end go?  I see it goes down behind the back of the engine in the general direction of the intake pipework but where does it exactly fit?

Would really appreciate some advice, a diagram or a photo from an engine out of the car.

Thanks in advance - already stretching my fingers for the expected battle with the car....

It goes into the top of the throttle body.

Thanks Shnazzle!  That helps narrow it down - and sort of to one side of the engine rather than round the back which will help for access.

My bodge, which has been OK for a couple of years now was to get a reducing elbow with hosetails on both ends.  I then got a short length of fuel hose and fitted that to the PCV end.  I couldn't see where the end that goes down the back of the engine went and so concentrated on the end I could see.
