Title: Radiator hose replacement
Post by: Bossworld on September 4, 2017, 13:40
Picked up the four replacement hoses and eight jubilee clips from eBay with a view to changing them out at the same time as the radiator.

Had a quick search and it doesn't look there's a guide on here.  Having never dabbled with the radiator before, I've found the video on YouTube and it looks relatively straight forward (until all the bolts are seized etc etc).

Is it fairly easy to swap out the hoses as well or is there anything completely inaccessible without removing half the car?

Thanks for any guidance

sorry can't answer your question having never swapped hoses either, but having just bought a rad and loads of coolant I wondered if you could post a link to the hoses on ebay you mention?

Thanks.

Its all visible and reasonably easy to get at with the frunk plastic cover, storage bin and bin braces removed. For the sake of an extra ten minutes, you might want to make it an easier reach by taking off the bumper. I'd also consider getting the front up on axle stands - access to the rearmost hose clamps may be more convenient from underneath ....... although its not something I've particularly paid any attention to. Let us know when you do it!

You'll also need a decent light source in there and containers/rags on standby to safely catch coolant. Particularly important if you or your neighbours have inquisitive pets.
