Title: Blanking off turbo drain
Post by: Essex2Visuvesi on September 12, 2017, 21:53

I need to get the car up and running before I finally fit the turbo, and like an idiot I already fitted the new sump with the turbo drain fitted
The turbo drain is a normal hose tail, so I was wondering if I could blank it of with something like this?

Your average silicone is not supposed to be compatible with oil and petrol.  As it would break down from the inside out, you won't know if it's degrading. Probably best to use some fuel rated hose and a bung?
