Title: Storage bins
Post by: lamcote on September 28, 2017, 15:06
I'm trying to remove the storage bins. I've got the passenger side one out but the driver's side is stuck in behind some trim around the seat belt and also seems to have an electrical connection plugged into it aswell (heated rear screen?). I'm not sure how much of the car I really need to dismantle!

Can anyone confirm what exactly I will need to do to get this bin out?

Thanks

None of by bins have any 'lectrickry attached.  You should be able to wobble it out without removing anything but the end cover that's held in with two pop fasteners.

Thanks, I have got it out. There is an electrical connector clipped onto mine. I assume it's the heated rear window. It was a bit more tricky than I thought it would be. It just didn't seem to want to pull out, but it did in the end with a bit of wiggling. I was surprised that the extra bits of trim had to come out and that sort of thing always panics me because I worry that I won't get it all back together! So thanks for the reply.

I, along with some others on here I'm sure, feel much more able to tackle things like this because we know, if the worst happens, we can fall back on support from you and others on this site.
