Hi
just got tte spoiler back from bodyshop and now in sable colour.
hoping to fit tomorrow weather dependant.
Just a quick question for anyone that has fitted one, what did you use to bond it to the engine lid?
was it normal silicone or that gorilla stuff?.

I believe u need something way stronger in order to bond it. The guys that are on the other forums that im are using sikaflex to bond their type r spoilers to non type r civics. It would be ideal if you can screw or fix it the way it was originally mounted by TTE.
Sikaflex or Tigerseal. Mine was on with the two screws provided and TigerSeal. Wasn't going anywhere.
I wouldn't use anything weaker than that
Many thanks.
I have the two bolts for the underside so will be drilling the lid ,sikaflex or tigerseal!
appreciate the advice, i will try to source one of the two tomorrow.
thanks again.

Just got back home from piccys watched bladerunner!! if anyone is thinking about it then let me tell you it is absolute pants! still dont know what it was about .
The plot starts off ok then becomes disjointed and then proceeds to non existant.
i was like a nodding dog on a parcel shelf s:D :D s:D .
but dont let me put you all off !!.
Job done.
Used tigerseal, that stuff is strong!
im happy with it.
measured three times using the template to make sure i was in the right position.
and it sits flush with no gaps.
Dont feel right drilling through your 2s engine lid! but its the correct way .
