Can you buy replacement headlight plastic fixing lugs
If you mean the lugs the bolts and screws go through to mount the headlight, they are part of the light. They can be fixed back on with some good glues and a bit of flat ABS plastic to reinforce them, but it's often a case of getting another light. In which case ask one of our breakers.
Thanks Carolyn did Toyota originally make a replacement lug there is a screw port directly under the lugs which I thought was for a replacement lug fixing
Yup, there are. I'm sure someone will pop on shortly and put the part number up.
It's a common thing to go wrong.
I stand corrected, thank you Stu!! I've got one that needs help.
Does any one know the part no seems a bit drastic to change whole headlight just for a broken lug
Mine failed the MOT on this. The garage said the headlamps were insecure and their solution was to drill a hole in the broken lug, another hole in the adjacent plastic on the headlamp and tie-wrap them together. To be fair, it was quite a neat and quick solution.
In addition they didn't like the handbrake travel that I had carefully adjusted to the guidelines on this forum and insisted on adjusting it to grip after about two clicks.
But at the end of the day, I got a pretty cheap MOT, so I was quite happy.
Cannot find the post, but I got them from here before;
