Title: What do you call it?
Post by: Topdownman on October 18, 2017, 21:53
So, I need a new part for my 1MZ engine but I am not sure what its called.

It is the screw in nipple that the brake servo hose connects to.

I assume I will need to go to Mr T for it but hoping it will be something they use on many engines and therefore common  but cant see any part number for it on any of the online diagrams I can see so need to describe it over the phone.

Any ideas of the name anyone?

A screw in nipple is known as a hose-tail it should have a pitched thread on one end and barbs on the opposite end for the pipe to fit.

That sounds exactly what I need, the hose-tail does indeed have a thread on one end etc, cheers Tom.
