Title: All 4 tyres wearing on the inside
Post by: Pierce on November 7, 2017, 18:57
Car is an W reg pre-facelift.Just past MOT but with an Advisory- All 4 tyres showing signs of wear on the inside. The car has been lowered 29mm at the front and 33mm rear using a Tein S.Tech spring kit and Kayaba shocks. It also has a Corky and Facelift  front antiroll bar. Are these mods causing the tyre wear?

I'm guessing the tracking is out or wasn't done / adjusted correctly after fitting the Teins
Should be a simple fix

If they are all the same, most likely the alignment.

As above.
Running same setup as you.
No inner wear issues.
Geo time

I didn't realise the rear tracking was adjustable. I wondered if the lowering had affected the camber angle but if Ardent is running the same set-up without problems it can't be that.

Its not adjustable as such but you can use adjustable camber bolts or some people have used the celica bolts (although they were too short for my coilovers).

The place that did my alignment were able to get a bit of adjustment using my standard bolts so worth asking the place you take it to to have a go even though they are technically non adjustable.
