Does anyone know if the plastic door sills just pop off? Is it easy do to? And more importantly is it easy to put back on?
Yes, dead easy. With abit of a pull, they do come away and pop back in fine. s:D :D s:D
Great, many thanks Chilli s:-D :-D s:-D
Having just put mine back this evening I can honestly say it's easy as peas. There's some clips that clamp onto the top seam on the inboard side and some plastic lugs that go into notches in the outboard side and a locating peg that goes into a receiver in the footwell kick panel. Will all make more sense when you get it off.
Slip a trim removal tool of your choice under at the seatbelt end and lever it up from that end.
That's PFL at least, I can't imagine FL is any different.

Ignore the tragic mess but you can see the locating holes on the outboard side of the sill and the seam that the clips bite onto at the side of the wiring loom.

Lol, nice mess! Yes, I see what you mean though, appreciate the pic! Thanks s:D :D s:D
I noticed my door sill on the passenger side is sitting over the trim that runs up the door i.e. the wrong way round, so I need to fix it!

That's tidy compared to how it has been previously, I spent most evenings last week lying in the footwells with my head up under the dash and half this weekend putting it all back together, once I'd replaced all the blown fuses.[emoji23]

Err? I'm sure the sill trim is supposed to sit on top of all the others? Unless you mean at the footwell kickboard ?

Yes you're right, thats what I'm say is wrong, the sill trim currently isn't sitting on top and I need to fix it

Yeah, see on the right of your pic where the side trim runs up the side of the door frame. Well at the bottom of mine, it isn't sitting under the door sill, so I need to take the sill off, press the side trim down and put the sill back on over it.
Sorry, I realised I said it the wrong way round before! Lol
Aaah, I get you now, maybe check the trim panel behind the seatbelt is fixed properly too while you're at it? There's the fixings on the top but also two push in pegs behind the main body of the panel, the same sort that hold the side vents on.

No worries, I've steadily destroyed and rebuilt mine over the last few weeks.

Tidy! That trim panel has to come off to fit the style bar anyway so you'll get some practice in!
