Title: Fuel injector removal
Post by: Blake200 on March 21, 2018, 22:53
Hi all,

So I have a problem with a misfire on cylinder 1. I have checked the temperature with a heat gun across the manifold, all the other exhaust manifolds get very warm where as cylinder 1 is cold enough to touch. I have ruled out the spark plug, ht cap by trying on different cylinders and it still remains. The plug appears dry too when last removed on this cylinder.

The car had been sat around for nearly 2 years so all seems to point towards poor fuel and a blocked injector.

Would a good run out usually clean this out? If not I was thinking of removing the injector and sending off for a professional clean.

Has anyone got a removal guide for this as can't find one anywhere??

Thanks

Perhaps try a fuel additive/cleaner
Or  Open the petrol filler cap to depressurise the system then follow the link in this link

Have you swapped a coil pack over to another cylinder to check it isn't a coil pack?
