Title: Extra Bright Brake Light Bulbs??
Post by: Ozzy on April 14, 2018, 20:39
Can anyone recommend or tell me where I can get some extra bright brake light bulbs for my pre-facelift?

My tail lights are smoked out black and I want the light output brighter so they can be seen more clearly when it starts to get dark.

No idea on the brighter bulbs, maybe it`s time to dump the blackout and go standard  :-\

I am currently trialing some LED bulbs - they are T20 wedge if you need some, will try and take a photo to show the difference.

The 3rd brake light uses standard 501 capless.

I'm sure I've seen spray tint remover in Halfords? If the tint is on the exterior it will buff of with a drill and a pad.  If its on the inside of the lens you can use practically anything as no one will see any marks...  Goodluck!

Not to everyone's taste but I like the tint to be honest.

Also thanks Mitch. Now I know what bulbs to look for. I'll have a look and see if I can find some decent bulbs on ebay. Hopefully they're brighter.
