Title: Cleaning the hood
Post by: Anonymous on March 2, 2005, 14:52
Some idiots sprayed silly string onto the black convertible roof of my MR2.   s:shock:  s:shock:  It was sat overnight and therefore was difficult to get off. Now it's off, the hood is darker in the places the stuff was.   s:evil:  s:evil:  I have spent about £10 quid at the jet wash with a brush but it didn't do the trick. I thought about a bathroom nailbrush and a bit of elbow grease (or would this be too coarse?)....any suggestions?   s:idea:  s:idea:

Autoglym - bumper care or the Rubber and Vinyl care stuff should do the trick.

Yep...

Have to agree there... my hood was looking a little patchy and the Autoglym bumper care has brought it back to life nicely   s8) 8) s8)

Thanks for the advice. I used the Autoglym Vinyl and rubber treatment and it has come up a treat - back to black and shimmering. Many thanks.
