Title: Is a race cat worth doing?
Post by: Anonymous on March 5, 2005, 17:46
How much difference would a 200 cel race cat make over the standard cat. Would it be worth doing or is it just a load of money for only a few extra BHP. At the moment I've got a H&S twin, H&S inlet pipe, Unichip. I'm also planning on a TRD manifold. Have considered PPE manifold & race cat but will prob be too loud, hence the TRD. Just trying to decide whether it is worth doing.

I have a high flow race cat as part of my Hass setup, obviously I can't comment on the difference it makes but I can say with pretty much just that in the exhaust system it's pretty... audible  s:wink:  s:wink:

Obviously you can have different gain with the stock header, but unlikely. Modern cats are actually pretty good, unless you turbo.
