Post by: michaelb on July 15, 2018, 18:59
Is there anything wrong with the EMU classic vs the black?

Not at all. Just less inputs/outputs and a few less functions. Perfectly suitable for our car.

Although... Might want to check if it supports vvti. I think it does

With the group buy price for 1zz/2zz I don't think the classic would work out cheaper.

Is the group buy still on for the black? I asked in the section but didn't see a reply

You mean for the Black? All the info is in the GB thread.
All you need is a car and 1k :)

I'm trying to read the thread on my phone and it's about a million comments long lol. I spent over a minute scrolling up and still wasn't close to the beginning!

Can you not buy a black for about 1k anyway? I was looking at one for around 1k and the classic for around 800.

Yes but not with a plug and play harness and mapping. That's just unbeatable

I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the mapping element though as it's not possible for me to get over to England.

That is a great price imo!

Mapping along woud be circa £300!
