Title: Anyone know what's causing this roof issue?
Post by: StephenBennett on July 19, 2018, 10:26
Hi all

My roof has suddenly started catching the fabric on the driver's side.

Anyone any idea what is causing this to happen?

There is a cable sewn into the edge of the roof.  It enables the roof to engage with the frame.

I'm afraid your's is starting to part company.  Very common on old roofs.

Only real cure is a visit to Jack Smith's at Swansea.

Thanks for that—sadly Swansea is a couple of days away from me!

I wonder if there are any images/diagrams of this cable connection so I can take it to a local repairer?
