Assistance, please. from anyone who's done this:
Where's the best spot in the system, to introduce a fuel pressure gauge.
Also what method of attachment do you use?
Since no-one else is replying I'll have a go.
I would suggest the inlet to the fuel rail is the best place. Spyderlee has a YouTube video about making a modified fuel rail with a return line which covered a connection method and spec for a fuel line on the rail I think.
Thanks for that Patrick.
I just realised that I've got a spare fuel rail stashed. I'll dig it out and have a look.
Was going to say much the same but a return rail would obviously require a bit more mapping work and a 1:1 RR FPR.
But in any case, I'd put it as close to the destination as possible.
This is the video:

Thanks for that. However.
A fuel return rail is not the problem. We made one for Gary Scholz, so we can make another.
I just want to measure the output from the fuel pump in the car.
Yes I know but I assumed you could use the same method of fastening/connection to connect a fuel pressure gauge to the inlet end of the rail.
Aaah!! Get your point.
I've just watched a scanner danner video about fuel pressure on a Honda. It had a threaded connection on the rail (closed by a bolt) specifically to allow a fuel pressure gauge to be attached. He just undid the bolt and connected a gauge in seconds.
Might the 1zz have one?
Edit: can't see one anywhere unfortunately.

Not that I've ever seen
Shame because the Honda was a breeze to test.
