Title: Carbon Lorraine v Carbotech
Post by: Dudi on August 15, 2018, 11:07
I'm looking for some new pads for a 2zz track car. I've used Yellowstuff which have been ok but would like a firmer pedal feel with some more modulation and better wear. I've also seen a set of yellowstuff come away from the backing plate on a friends car which was pushed new pads up the shopping list rather quickly!

Carbotech do XP8 and XP10 front + rear. I can only find CL RC6 for the front. What's the brake balance like on the MR2, will running a less aggressive pad on the rear i.e RC6 front and Pagid decrease braking performance? This is pretty much a pure track car so not concerned about noise/dust etc.

There have been some reports of fake "performance" pads in circulation in the past, perhaps they are surfacing again

Good trackday pads are project Mu, bit pricy tho
