Title: Dodgy tensioners
Post by: Carolyn on August 18, 2018, 12:10
That's the second one to have the tooth come off the ratchet in the past year.

Maybe better to spend a bit more??

That's very kind of you.  Fortunately, I also had a spare!

Please do come by and visit. I'd love to see your car.

Was that one of the Amazon ones? I'm assuming it came apart on removal but was working ok in situ?

Yeah, that would be good! I'd like to have a peek at your setup, I've read a lot about it  :)

Judging by the low rpm rattle that had developed, I'd say it failed in service.

Can't remember where I got it from.  Not MAG.

Aaah, I remember we both got one at more or less the same time but I can't remember myself wether Amazon or TCB.

That's somewhat worrying.

A lot of us got TCB ones at around the same time. Hopefully it wasn't from there?

I'm in that band. Fingers crossed it's not the TCBs
