Title: Trunk release cable snapped.
Post by: D.B.C. on August 23, 2018, 16:38
I know it's an commen problem with the hood trunk release that wil go bad and hard to open. But mine broke by pulling to hard.

I've been told to remove the bolts trough the upper back bumper mesh. Does anybody have an clear pocture where to aim? Are they only the two bolts?

I have an JDL back bumper, so I can easily remove the mesh.

Anyone got tips to get is open.
And by the way, my battery is death, left the ligt on (:< >:)

Thanks in advance!

I got ot opened luckily all I needed to do was bend the mesh in my rear bumper so I could get to the two bolts.
Now I have an new dilemma, the cable snapped, but I don't know were.
When I was cleaning my shed, I found an electric boot release kit from my previous MG. Has somebody done anything like this?
