Title: Corolla T-sport donor intake question
Post by: Bugster_MR2 on September 1, 2018, 09:42
I am sure this has been covered earlier, but I can't seem to find the previous post, nor the correct answers by Googling.

If I buy a eurospec LHD 2002 Corolla T-sport as a donor for my MR2 2zz-swap, will the intake and throttlebody from the Corolla fit my car?
I seem to remember someone prefered the Celica due to some small differences.

Thanks.

I'm still working on my swap so someone more experienced might have something to add. I'm not aware of any problems with what you suggest. I don't think that either air box will fit easily, so you'll need to buy an intake kit or chop up the air box from the donor car.

The Corolla intake manifold has a 45 degree connection to the air box, the Celica's is a straight pipe. No other significant differences, although I believe that if you want to port and polish a 2ZZ the Corolla intake manifold is preferable. It is in two parts and unbolts to give better access to work on the intake runners.
