I'm about to order a clutch.
Are any better than others, - quality of manufacture? Weight? ie mass. (not pedal weight)
Can't go far wrong with an LUK or Exedy in my opinion...
I have an Exedy and am very pleased with it...
I have a LUK and I love it...it's nice and light [emoji1360]

Does the reference to Chinese refer to Exedy?
I had a look on the www at the credentials for LUK and Exedy. Both appear to be well established companies with 50 and 60 years of experience. One is German, the other is Japanese.
It may be that one or the other does have manufacturing facilities in China and I did find that labelled and packaged product could be purchased from China with a minimum order of 1000 units.
The following introductions are from the respective web sites:
Welcome to LuK
LuK is part of the Schaeffler Group and for five decades LuK has been supplying systems and components for the automotive drive train to customers around the world. Dr. Ing (E.h.) GM Mitsubishi Volvo
Great Wall Nissan Yamaha
Hino Renault
Can't go wrong with either but people have mentioned judder from the exedy. Anecdotal at best.
LUK has a very light pedal feel but grips well. Good material
I have an Exedy, which also has a light pedal and grips very well.
I've heard other people mentioned clutch judder, but as I recall it always seems to be someone quoting third had info - I can't recall anyone with an Exedy ever saying "don't get an Exedy" - obviously I've stuck my head above the parapet and stand to be corrected [emoji51]
Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to someone else or to fit another...
We installed an Exedy in mulaz's car when we did both of ours and he's very happy with his.
See which one has the best deal and go for it
Felt the judder on the excedy that was in the blue one. LUK went back in. Transformed.
All these opinions coming 12 days after I bought it..... ::) The Exedy I bought is Japan-made. May be a while before it's fitted though.
I'm sure It will be fine
Lots saying LUK, but they are a brand a lot of garages get via Andrew page etc so well known ( I have a luk)
Does not mean yours won't be. Basically I'm saying don't get worried as lots saying luk doesn't mean others are rubbish.
