Title: Volume of the subframe.
Post by: Call the midlife! on September 26, 2018, 21:39
I don't suppose anyone has previously calculated the volume of a PFL subframe have they?
It's been suggested that after I fit my spare one I should fill the old one with rice to keep it dry.
I'm just wondering how many tins to buy in Lidl tomorrow?

No idea, but it doesn't sound like a great idea to me. If you leave it a long time, you'll end up storing your subframe full of soggy rice.
Whereas a clean dry subframe isn't going to rust significantly with atmospheric moisture on a shelf in your garage for many many years.

One of the best scenes of any film of all time, up there with The Life of Brian and Wayne's World!

You really want to get serious on a thread about filling my subframe with rice pudding??[emoji38][emoji38]
I'm going to bake it in my big oven then fill it with old Mondeo oil while it's still hot, that should do the trick!

Are you seriously going to put rice in your subframe?

Next you'll be zip-tying your coils to lower your car.

Is there a how-to for that?
