Got around to fitting the last part of the rear cover today now the wind and the rain has gone!
The Orange outer sections in this pic I have but they're not fitted because if I jack the car up, one of the suspension components drops and hit it. So I either need to cut a slot on it or remove it every time I want to jack the car up.

The outer sections have intakes which direct air around the side of the engine and out the top section above the diffuser and a hole so I can jack the car up still.

That is just delightful!!!

Thanks... it has been more work and £ than I'm willing to admit too but the rear is always going to be the hard part. If I want to do the rest of the car (which I probably will) it's just flat sheets. What I do need to do is make the holes in the panels bigger so they're not a tight fit and get some panel washers. Then where it's tight at the moment, it will sit flatter and reduce bending.

I would love something like this but because of the inter cooler location I think it would need to be totally changed.
I need to get my car on the two post so I can measure the front end up with cardboard then copy it in 1mm ally. Flat (ish) floor is the way forward for actual working aero at street speeds.
That would depend on the location.... but if you have an intercooler in the rear surly you're much much better off spending the money on a chargecooler? Even stripping one off a scrappy car and making that fit rather than doing this.
Compared to the volume of air particles hitting the intercooler vs a front mount vs a chargecooler, your intercooler is in a location where there's just no air hitting it.... However, that's a different conversation haha
Problem with using ally is 2 things.
1, cost! The sheets are twice as expensive and you have to pay £80 to get them delivered!
2, it bends. For example, I have 2 concrete slabs on top of each other on my drive. What I do is pull up slowly and when the wheels hit them I know I'm not going to hit the shed. I jacked the car up to fit this panel today. I reversed on and forgot about the slabs. When I jacked it up that corner went down and the diffuser hit the slabs and pushed the abs sheets up. When i let it down they just went back into place. If I had done that with ally they would now be bent!

We'll not get into the chargecooler convo. Mines getting pretty decent temps with its current location on the IC Is pretty massive.
That is a very valid point on using ally. Never thought of that. I'll be using abs then.
I've been trying to get a mock up of the street werks one to copy but it can't be that hard to do Tbh.
Just get some cardboard and a tape measure :)
3mm is pretty heavy, nearly twice as expensive (the abs is free delivery) with less flex but you cannot bend it at all so you can't use it for it for vents or the diffuser. I tried heating it up to bend it but the stuff warps. That was a complete waste of £50 that was!
I was really after 2mm as that would be the sweet spot I think but you just can't find the stuff so had to go with the 1.5mm

I'll take not if that :)
I did make an abs front splitter type thing. Unfortunately I shattered by driving 10 mins down the road to get some longer bolts and spacers to attach it to the chassis. It was my only car back then.
I'd love to see the flow difference the diffuser makes.
Nice work there.
When are you going to be able to give it a test?
Hopefully you will be able to feel a difference after all that work!

every time I've added a section the biggest difference I've noticed has been the road noise is diminishing but now it's also a bit more stable at speed and feels a bit more planted while going around corners, roundabouts etc. I probably notice the noise the most as I don't drive like a loon! haha
From what I've read, flattening off the front's biggest difference is in MPG rather than anything else. Hoping to get the rest done soon. Price of petrol these days I'll take more MPG over anything! lol
