Title: Roof sticks on the way up
Post by: chrismscotland on October 27, 2018, 18:45
Looking for a little advice - I've noticed of late that my room seems to be a little reluctant when I'm putting it back up.
I'd put it down to the colder weather as I've noticed I'm having to make more effort to get the window to go down then lowering the roof.

Its like its catching on something (the the back of the plastics on top of the storage bins) and its more noticeable now that I've got the Style Bar on - could there be something out of kilter or loose perhaps?

Official instructions are to gently push the window down while lowering the roof, all the vinyl roofs get harder to lower in the cold weather so just use more care and get them warmed up first.
It's probably the top edge of the rear window catching on the spring steel plate part of the latch when you're pulling it up, again just try using your other hand to gently clear the window over it when raising it.

Instructions also say to put it up from the outside, you didn't say whether you do this or just pull from your seat...  if the latter it maybe worth getting out.

might not have made a difference in warm weather but could do now.

Be careful not to push down in the centre of the window when putting it down, I smashed mine in my previous '2  :-[. I now push on the top of the window. ;)
